These selected projects and clients demonstrate the range of my marketing, communications and publishing work. As a consultant and volunteer, and in my work for different companies, I’ve helped several organizations reach a wider audience and achieve their communications goals. Personal enrichment and learning projects are also included.
Recent projects (with Steege/Thomson Communications):
- Annie E. Casey Foundation: Wrote profiles of ECD/HOPE and Southern Good Faith Fund, winners of the celebrated 2007 Families Count National Honors Program Award.
- Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia: Assisted with strategic development and site optimization for the 2008 redesign of Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival website.
- Philadelphia Safe and Sound: Wrote and developed Changing Lives, the organization’s 2006 annual report.
- Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Worked on development and promotion of PediatricAsthma.org, including: writing site content and copy for e-mail/direct mail, SEO/SEM, link building, campaign development and analysis. SEO work yielded top 5 rankings for targeted phrases.
- University of Pennsylvania: Wrote and developed Penn Dental Medicine’s fundraising campaign materials and assisted with creative development of Penn Nursing’s campaign video and brochure, as part of Penn’s $3.5 billion Making History campaign.

- Progressive Business Publications: Editor of Internet Marketing Report and What’s Working in Sales Management newsletters, Sales & Marketing Update e-zine, Internet Marketing Report blog and CD-ROM sales training toolkit. Product manager for several newsletters. Wrote and edited copy for direct marketing efforts.
- Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce: Photography for The Greater Philadelphia Story relocation and resource guide 2006-2007.
- Social Change Leaders: Completed a Greater Philadelphia Cares pilot program for nonprofit leadership and group dynamics; worked with a team to develop and present a concept for a 501(c)3 to support sustainable business growth in underserved communities.
- Binger Catalog Design & Marketing: Website development and production for Binger and its web clients, including DriveSavers and Mid-Peninsula Speech & Language Clinic.
- Renaissance Ballroom: Developed and maintained RenaissanceBallroom.com; used SEO to achieve top 5 search results for targeted keyword phrases.
- Standard Media: Editor for TheStandard.com. Developed content and commerce sections for Industry Standard website; managed editorial production of e-newsletters and online special reports. Survived dot-com collapse.
- Quinlan Publishing Group: Editor of Grants for Cities & Towns newsletter and new media director. Developed several websites, managed online marketing campaigns, designed publications and direct mail pieces.
- The Republic of Letters: Production editor and designer for Saul Bellow’s literary magazine.
